Job summary

Chellaston Academy is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to ensure continuity of learning by supervising classes and guiding pupils through activities across various subjects and year groups.

The role requires organisation, proactive approach and the ability to maintain a calm, productive classroom environment in line with school policies. You will also support wider school operations and take part in events when not supervising a class.

• Confident, adaptable and committed to supporting high-quality learning across the school.
• Organised, proactive and able to create a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Calm under pressure and able to manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Able to work across a wide range of subjects and year groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee classes and guide pupils through learning activities.
• Take registers, collect completed work and provide feedback on progress and behaviour.
• Support wider school operations, including small-group support, break-time duties, or events.
