Job summary

Deer Park School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support learning during absence of teachers in a new state-of-the-art secondary setting. The role runs 32.60 hours per week across two days and three days, term-time only, with training provided and opportunities to lead extra-curricular activities.

The position offers a route into teaching and professional development within the RAISE Education Trust, including strong CPD support, career progression opportunities and a staff-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in a school setting is beneficial.
• Ability to lead extra-curricular clubs and participate in staff meetings.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Cover classes during absence of the regular class teacher and set the work provided.
• Monitor and manage behaviour and keep students on task; deliver lively, engaging lessons from existing plans.
• Provide classroom and technical support, exam invigilation and general admin tasks as required.
