Job summary

Wayman Education in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school. The successful candidate will engage students in developing computing knowledge and digital skills, with a passion for technology.

The role covers KS3 and KS4, with responsibilities to plan engaging lessons, develop programming and computational thinking, assess progress and contribute to curriculum development, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Strong Computer Science subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging theory and practical lessons.
• Develop students' programming and computational thinking skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development within the department.
