Job summary

Principal Education is working with a partner secondary school in the United Kingdom to recruit a Computing Teacher for a long-term position. Start date is 2 October 2026, continuing to the end of the academic year.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an emphasis on delivering engaging Computing lessons and a well-structured curriculum. The successful candidate will have QTS or relevant teaching experience, strong Computing knowledge, and the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong Computing/Computer Science knowledge.
• Experience teaching Computing at secondary level.
• Ability to deliver across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to student potential and department teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computing lessons across the secondary age range.
• Deliver and assess the Computing curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and differentiate lessons for varying abilities.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Use diverse teaching strategies and technology to engage students.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
