Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Art and Design Teacher for a short-term supply role at a Trafford secondary school. The role involves teaching Art & Design to Key Stage 3 five days a week, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, and applying AfL-based behaviour management.

Applicants should hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification, with experience in a secondary setting, and must have an up-to-date CV and DBS clearance. UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Art and Design, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• An enhanced DBS check and, if applicable, overseas police clearances.
• A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art and Design across Key Stage 3, five days per week.
• Deliver engaging, inspiring and differentiated lessons that encourage creativity and develop practical artistic skills.
• Use confident, calm behaviour management rooted in AfL principles.
• Adapt teaching to meet the evolving needs and abilities of students.
• Encourage students to explore different artistic techniques, materials and approaches.
