Job summary

LA International is seeking a Technical Lead for a critical role in Basingstoke. The position requires active DV clearance and leadership across Windows Server, AD, and multi-platform environments.

You will own work packages from design through release, coordinating with engineering, architecture, testing, change, and operations to ensure on-time delivery. You will navigate technical blockers and organisational challenges, uphold compliance, and guide teams in high-pressure settings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Technical Lead, Delivery Lead, or Senior Engineer in complex IT environments.
• Strong understanding of Wintel platforms (Windows Server, AD, group policy, infrastructure services, virtualisation).
• Broad technical awareness across networks, security, applications, and integrations.
• Ability to challenge technical teams constructively and separate fact from fiction.
• Demonstrated success delivering in bureaucratic or high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in or with Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of allocated work packages and drive them through design, build, test, and release into live service.
• Provide strong technical leadership across Wintel-based and multi-platform environments.
• Navigate and resolve obstacles including technical blockers, organisational bureaucracy, and interpersonal challenges.
• Assess technical information from engineers, ensuring accuracy and calling out inconsistencies or blockers early.
• Coordinate with engineering, architecture, test, change, and operations teams to maintain momentum and deliver on time.
• Ensure that technical decisions are aligned with programme goals, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and elevate appropriately when required.
