Job summary

LA International is seeking a 3rd Line Engineer Leader with active DV clearance to join our secure infrastructure team. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership, guiding a small 2nd Line team and owning high‑level incident resolution across VMware, Windows Server, and AD services.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive approach to service improvements, and the ability to work in a demanding security environment with shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 3rd Line infrastructure support experience.
• Experience leading or coaching technical teams.
• VMware Cloud Foundation, vCenter, ESXi experience.
• Windows Server 2019/2022 and Microsoft tooling knowledge (MCM, SCOM, Exchange).
• Strong Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DFS, and user account management.
• Ability to analyze Windows Server logs and troubleshoot enterprise infra.
• Knowledge of Juniper networking and monitoring tools is a plus.
• Experience with legacy Microsoft tech and training provided.
• Excellent analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line technical support across secure infrastructure environments.
• Support a high-profile user community through an incident management system.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2nd Line Engineers.
• Manage technical escalations and provide guidance on complex support issues.
• Support VMware, Windows Server, and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, Active Directory, and networking issues.
• Perform system administration, user management, and operational support activities.
• Contribute to service improvements and technical documentation.
• Participate in shift work where required.
