Avanti Recruitment is recruiting DV-cleared Data Engineers for a UK-based, hybrid role, focused on AWS data platforms. You will build and own end-to-end data pipelines across secure programmes, from ingestion to consumption, in support of complex client work.

We seek mid to senior engineers with hands-on AWS expertise and a deep understanding of lakehouse, medallion architectures, and streaming. Expect collaboration with architects, clients, and other engineers in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines end-to-end from ingestion to consumption.

• Contribute to decisions on storage, orchestration, governance and security.
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into builds.

DV Cleared Data Engineers Wanted * Mid to Senior | AWS / Data Platforms | UK (Hybrid)

£55,000 - £70,000 + bonus + benefits | Bristol / Manchester (hybrid)

I'm working with a successful multinational tech consultancy that has secured a number of long-term client programmes and is now looking to bring in several DV Cleared Data Engineers, from mid to senior level, to meet that demand.

If you're DV cleared and have built your career on AWS, this is one where that depth gets used properly. You'll be working across a range of secure, high-impact programmes, building and owning the pipelines and platforms that sit underneath some genuinely complex client work, not just maintaining someone else's build.

What you'll be doing

• Building and maintaining data pipelines end-to-end, from ingestion through to consumption
• Working with modern approaches like lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Building both batch and streaming pipelines depending on the use case
• Contributing to decisions around storage, orchestration, governance and security, not just executing a predefined design
• Working with data architects and stakeholders to turn business requirements into solid technical builds
• Operating in secure, regulated environments where attention to detail and sound judgement matter

Tech environment

• AWS across the board, including S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation and Kinesis
• Databricks and Snowflake running on top of AWS
• Spark and distributed processing frameworks for large-scale data
• Streaming technologies such as Kinesis or Kafka

You're expected to pick the right tools for the problem within the AWS ecosystem, not just default to whatever you know best.

What they're looking for

• Active DV Clearance, must already be held
• Mid to senior level Data Engineers, hands-on with AWS
• Solid understanding of modern data patterns, lakehouse, medallion, streaming
• Experience building pipelines and platform components at scale
• Comfortable working alongside architects, clients and other engineers, not just heads down in isolation
• A practical mindset, someone who makes sensible trade-offs rather than over-engineering

Salary: £55,000 - £80,000 + bonus + benefits

Location: London / Bristol / Manchester / Belfast (hybrid), 2 days a week in any of their offices
