Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is seeking DV-cleared Data Architects for major secure data programmes in the UK. You will own end-to-end data platforms on AWS, shaping ingestion to consumption with modern lakehouse patterns and secure governance.

The role requires DV clearance, deep AWS data architecture experience, and the ability to work across secure, high-impact environments with stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• DV clearance is required.
• Strong background in Data Architecture with hands-on AWS experience.
• Solid understanding of lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Experience designing full platforms on AWS, not just components.
• Comfortable working with clients and stakeholders; practical mindset with sensible trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design full data platforms end-to-end from ingestion to consumption.
• Work with lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Define batch and streaming pipelines based on use case.
• Make decisions on storage, orchestration, governance and security.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Operate in secure, regulated environments with high attention to detail.
