Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Architect for a hybrid role across the UK (Bristol, Manchester or London). You will design end-to-end data platforms on AWS, leveraging lakehouse/medallion patterns and streaming pipelines, with direct engagement of clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has an active DV clearance, strong AWS expertise, and a track record of delivering secure, scalable data architectures in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• DV clearance is required and must already be held.
• Strong background in data architecture with hands-on AWS experience.
• Solid understanding of modern data patterns, including lakehouse, medallion and streaming.
• Experience designing full platforms on AWS, not just individual components.
• Comfortable working with clients and stakeholders, not just internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Design full data platforms end to end, ensuring data flows from ingestion to consumption.
• Work with lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Define batch and streaming pipelines based on use case.
• Make decisions around storage, orchestration, governance and security.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Operate in secure, regulated environments requiring attention to detail.
