Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is seeking a DV-cleared Data Architect to design end-to-end data platforms on AWS in a hybrid UK role spanning Manchester/Bristol/London. The engineer will shape lakehouse architectures, governance, security, and data flow across ingestion to consumption.

You will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into practical data solutions, employing modern patterns and secure practices in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Active DV clearance is required
• Strong background in Data Architecture with hands-on AWS experience
• Solid understanding of modern data patterns, lakehouse, medallion, streaming
• Experience designing full platforms on AWS, not just individual components
• Comfortable working with clients and stakeholders
• A practical mindset, makes sensible trade-offs rather than over-engineering

Responsibilities

• Design full data platforms end-to-end from ingestion to consumption
• Work with lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Define batch and streaming pipelines based on use case
• Make decisions on storage, orchestration, governance and security
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions
• Operate in secure, regulated environments with attention to detail
