Job summary

Asda Southampton is seeking a Duty Manager to lead day-to-day store operations, plan trading activity across departments and ensure the store is safe and compliant for customers and colleagues.

You will lead the shrink agenda, drive standards, coach the leadership team, and deliver great availability and customer service in line with our busy shopping environment.

The role requires weekend and evening flexibility and a track record of team development in grocery retail.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in a grocery retail environment.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability and KRAs.
• Lead the shrink agenda and coach teams to maintain standards and compliance.
• Drive store selling agenda with energy to meet briefs and timings.
• Develop talent and foster a supportive, valued team culture.
