Job description

We understand that success is achieved through our people, and we are searching for a committed and passionate Duty Manager to join our growing business. As Duty Manager, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
  2. Play an active role in your store to "sell a 1 & save a 1" to help drive sales.
  3. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
  4. Engage, develop & retain great people:
  • Support and work proactively with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
  • Support team engagement in your store.
  • Create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
  • Share your knowledge to support team up-skilling.
  • Follow all processes correctly:
    • Complete actions from your line manager focusing on customer experience.
    • Maintain a positive service approach in store and at the doorstep.
    • Implement cash handling and security policies.
    • Adopt all "One Best Way" digital processes.
  • Leadership:
    • Be approachable and love your customers.
    • Respect colleagues and work enthusiastically together.
    • Take action to reduce waste.
    • Care about the business and team.
