Job summary

Asda is seeking a Duty Manager in Shepshed to lead day-to-day store operations, plan and execute trading across departments, and keep the store safe and compliant for customers and colleagues.

You'll drive standards, shrink control, and engage the team to deliver great availability and service, working closely with the Store Manager to prioritise actions and deliver a brilliant shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in a grocery retail environment.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Knowledge of HR policies and processes, and exposure to complex ER cases.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity across multiple departments to deliver strong availability and key metrics.
• Lead shrink agenda and drive standards with the Store Manager to ensure a great shopping experience.
• Coach and develop shop-floor teams to uphold high standards and customer service.
• Manage opportunities and business priorities with clear actions.
