McCarthy Stone in Whitley Bay is seeking a Care Supervisor to lead a caring team in a modern community for older adults. The role focuses on enabling residents to live independently, overseeing the Care and Support team, ensuring safety, coordinating activities, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will work a mix of day and evening shifts across weekdays and weekends, with contracted 33.5 hours per week.

Formación

• Experience in a care or support environment.
• Prefer Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care; those with Level 2 will be supported to upgrade.
• Warm, friendly, organised and self‑motivated with good interpersonal skills.

Care Supervisor

Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 33.5 hours per week

with a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

Pay: £15.24per hour for day shifts, £12.24 for sleeping night shifts,

plus an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.

As a

Care Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling residents to live independently and actively and you will uphold our commitment to high-quality care. You will support the management of a thriving community of independent older adults, including overseeing the Care and Support team. Your role will include ensuring their safety, coordinating activities, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

About You

You are warm, friendly, organised, and self‑motivated, with experience in a care or support environment and preferably a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. (Those with L2 are welcome to apply but will need toundertake their L3.)

You are eager to take on responsibilities, promote community spirit, and improve the wellbeing of our residents.

You will have previous experience of managing team members.
