Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd in Solihull, West Midlands, is seeking a Care Supervisor to lead the Care and Support team at Wheatley Place. This permanent role is 33.5 hours per week with a mix of day and evening shifts, including weekends.

You will support residents to live independently, ensure safety, coordinate activities, and promote wellbeing. The role includes funded Level 3 Adult Care training, a pension, life assurance, and staff discounts across developments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care or support environment and a passion for helping older adults.
• Leadership experience within a team setting is essential.
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 Adult Care training (Level 2 acceptable but upgrade may be required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Care and Support team to enable residents to live independently.
• Ensure residents' safety and coordinate daily activities.

Are you ready to elevate your career in a fulfilling care role? McCarthy Stone is seeking an experienced Care Supervisor to join ourWheatley Place estate, in Solihull, West Midlands. Experience a rewarding environment where all your clients are in one place—no travelling required!

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 33.5 hours per week, with a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekdays and weekends. (

Pay: £15.24per hour for day shifts, £12.24 for sleeping night shifts, plus an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.

Role Highlights:
As a Care Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling residents to live independently and actively and you will uphold our commitment to high-quality care. You will support the management of a thriving community of independent older adults, including overseeing the Care and Support team. Your role will include ensuring their safety, coordinating activities, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

About You

You are warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated, with experience in a care or support environment and preferably a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. (Those with L2 are welcome to apply but will need toundertake their L3.)

You are eager to take on responsibilities, promote community spirit, and improve the wellbeing of our residents.

You will have previous experience of managing team members.
