McCarthy Stone is seeking a Care Supervisor at Eleanor House in St Albans. This leadership role offers a 33-hour week with a 4.15pm start and 9:00am finish on alternating weekends, and no travel between clients.

You will lead the Care & Support team, coordinate resident care plans, and support wellbeing activities to improve residents' daily lives. The role pays £16.25 per hour on day shifts, with a £1 per hour weekend enhancement and additional sleep-in rates.

Eleanor House is an elegant Retirement Living PLUS development, of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, home to a vibrant and friendly community for the over 70s. The estate has a communal lounge and also a restaurant serving meals every day.

A typical shift starts from 4.15pm and finish's at 9.00am and you will be working alternate weekends.

Our Care Supervisors sleep between 11:00pm and 07:00am providing only emergency support to our homeowners throughout that period.

What You’ll Do

About You

• Experienced in care or support work (1+ year preferred)
• Level 3 Adult Health & Social Care (minimum of Level 2 Health and Social Care and willing to upskill)
• Leadership experience – You’ve supported or supervised a team
• Organised, compassionate, and community-minded
