Job summary

Manchester Central is seeking a Hospitality Manager to lead the daily operations of our venue, with a strong emphasis on food and drink service. You will mentor the team, train staff, and maintain high standards of guest experience.

The role requires proven hospitality management experience in a fast-paced setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively while ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures. A customer‑centred approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hospitality management experience in a fast‑paced venue.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the venue with a focus on food and drink service.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences through team support and guest‑centred service.
• Lead and develop staff through training sessions and uphold service standards.
• Ensure safe opening and closing of the venue.
• Manage stock, ordering, and stock takes.
• Adhere to labour budgets and improve staff efficiency on shift.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Hospitality General Manager, this role is working on a full time, permanent basis, on annualised hours.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for the day to day running of the venue, with specific focus on food and drink service
• Ensuring exceptional service standards and delivering impeccable guest experiences through supporting the team and having a guest focused approach.
• Conduct developing and technical training sessions, whilst continually developing standards through their own knowledge.
• Ensuring the safe and secure open and close of the venue when required
• Stock takes, ordering and management of it
• Adhering to labour budgets and staff efficiencies on shift

The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for new exciting techniques, exploring flavour and new concepts
• At least 1 years minimum hospitality management experience within a fast-paced, similar sized venue
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

You must:

• Be a proficient multitasker capable of remaining calm and composed in busy situations.
• Have experience of people management, be confident in leading a team in a positive and approachable manner.
• Demonstrate a customer centred approach to delivery.
