Job description

Pay Rate: £45,000 up to £49,000
Grade: RCS L
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 6 on 3 off shift pattern which will include working earlies and lates
Location: Luton Airport - LU2 9LS

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an airport. You will be required to undergo a security/background check if you are to be successful for this position.

We're seeking a Front of House Duty Manager to play an integral role in our aviation contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Overseeing the front of house operation within Luton Airport
  • To supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your responsibility area / shift approach.
  • Have clear understanding of Objectives & KPIs applicable to your position and to your team
  • Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
  • Ensure the team applies the Safety Standards and relevant guidelines
  • Support and supervise direct reports to help drive an engagement culture at the site. Mentor and support the teams to ensure that they are effective within their positions
  • Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Aviation experience is desirable
  • be able act independently without supervision
  • Previous experience on managing an operation in needed
  • Previous experience of people management is needed
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels within the business

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

  • Be able to provide five years address history
  • Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
  • Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
