Job summary

Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket is seeking a Duty Manager to lead daily hotel operations and guest experiences. You will engage the team across departments, maintain high service standards, and act as an ambassador for the hotel and Leonardo Hotels across the UK & Ireland.

You’ll supervise day-to-day activities, coach new starters, and collaborate with HR on team engagement. A confident problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment will fit well.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles preferred.
• Ability to lead a team across hotel departments.
• Strong guest service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interviewing and supporting recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on shift and motivate the team to deliver outstanding hospitality.
• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations and ensure service standards are met across departments.
• Support HR in interviewing and onboarding new starters; coach and train the team.
• Collaborate with management to handle guest issues and maintain a smooth operation.

As a Duty Manager, you will: • Get out and about in the hotel, greeting guests and motivating the team to deliver great hospitality • Have strong operational knowledge with the ability to work across departments as required • Support other managers with interviews and recruitment- it’s a team effort • Coach and train new starters- we want everyone to feel confident in their new role! • Have excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to manage conflicts or complaints seamlessly • Collaborate with your local HR team to host engaging activities for the team • Preferably have experience working in a branded hotel or restaurant?
