Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Duty Engineer to oversee aircraft production activities at Heathrow. Based in the Base Maintenance environment, you will allocate work, monitor progress and coordinate with Planning and Production to meet targets and timelines.

You will lead a team, apply technical feedback, and maintain aircraft compliance while driving continuous improvement and high performance within the operation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operations to defined production targets while adhering to the maintenance plan and aircraft compliance.
• Lead maintenance colleagues, set clear expectations, and manage day-to-day operations.
• Allocate tasks as required by the maintenance plan.
• Provide first point of contact support for operational colleagues and escalate as needed to specialists and planning.
• Support incident and accident management procedures.
• Champion high standards, monitor trends, and coordinate continuous improvement.
