What will you do?

Play and test the games. Be relentless and thorough in testing. As a perfectionist, you will find linguistic bugs and report them using bug databases, communicating clearly in English across global boundaries.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistic bug-free.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking's LQA process and standards.
• Use industry-standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports.
• Take ownership to ensure bugs are fixed and correctly implemented.
• Become an LQA Expert across various projects and specializations.
• Manage and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documentation and reporting.
• Participate in test requirement gathering with developers.
• Seek continuous improvement and efficiencies in your work.
• Collaborate with the QA team.

Measures of Performance:

• Quality, velocity, and precision of bug reports.
• Team collaboration and communication.
• Ongoing improvement in LQA workflow and techniques.

Requirements

You are a great match if you:

• Are an expert in Dutch.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Passionate about video games.
• Are a team player, able to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
• Are proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
• Focus on quality with a keen eye for detail.
• Are proficient with computers, including MS Office Suite, database handling, and record keeping.
• Have the Right to Work in the UK.

It’s really useful if you have some of the following, but if not, we can teach you:

• Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Experience with LQA testing tools (test case management, text editing).
• Knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
• Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
• Higher degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
