What will you do?

You will play and test games, focusing on identifying linguistic bugs. Your relentless approach to testing and perfectionism will help you find and report bugs clearly using our bug database, communicating effectively across global boundaries with clear English.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being free of linguistic errors.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking's LQA process and standards, optimized over years as industry leaders.
• Use industry-standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports that highlight your commitment to quality.
• Take ownership of bugs to ensure they are fixed and correctly implemented.
• Become an LQA Expert across various projects and areas of specialization.
• Manage, create, and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documenting testing practices and reporting methods.
• Participate in gathering test requirements with developers to support comprehensive testing.
• Proactively seek improvements, take ownership of additional activities, and increase work efficiencies.
• Collaborate with the QA team effectively.

Requirements

It’s really useful if you have some of the following, but if not, we can teach you:

• Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Experience with LQA testing tools, such as test case management and text editing software.
• Knowledge of CAT tools like MemoQ.
• Understanding of the video game industry and current trends.
• Desirable but not essential: a bachelor's or higher degree in linguistics.
