Ormiston Forge Academy is seeking an energetic Educational Visits & Duke of Edinburgh Support Officer to join our team. You will organise and support educational visits, expeditions, and DofE activities while ensuring safety, logistics, and high standards.

The role requires engagement with staff, parents and external providers, plus driving duties where needed. A passion for outdoor learning and safeguarding young people is essential.

Qualificações

• Experience of working with young people.
• Experience of outdoor, walking or expedition-based activities.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate practical arrangements and logistics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to remain calm and use sound judgement in practical situations.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings, weekends and residential activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilidades

• Provide practical, administrative and operational support for educational visits, trips and Duke of Edinburgh Award programme.
• Assist with route planning and logistics for visits and expeditions.
• Maintain equipment and records for visits and activities.
• Liaise with staff, parents and external providers.
• Accompany students on educational and outdoor activities where appropriate.

GCSEs Maths & English (A*-C)

Lowland Leader qualification or willingness to develop
