Job summary

Climate Impact Partners is seeking a Due Diligence Specialist to join the Technical & Quality team within Operations. You will execute rigorous DD and risk assessments on nature-based and engineered carbon projects, ensuring high integrity and credible results.

Reporting to the Due Diligence Manager, you will collaborate with Sourcing and Project Development teams, stay updated on regulatory and market developments, and contribute to continuous improvement in our DD processes while maintaining

Qualifications

3+ years in the voluntary carbon market with hands-on due diligence experience.
Experience with nature-based and/or engineered solutions preferred.
Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in environmental science, sustainability, or related field.
Experience reviewing Project Design Documents and monitoring reports for major standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical screenings and due diligence assessments for a diverse range of projects.
Evaluate projects against core quality criteria (additionality, baselines, permanence, leakage, etc.).
Support the definition and application of quality criteria across the DD team.
Maintain accurate DD data and documentation; support pipeline tracking and reporting.
Engage with ratings agencies to inform project evaluations.
Monitor changes in voluntary carbon standards and methodologies.
