Job summary

Climate Impact Partners is seeking a Due Diligence Specialist to join the Technical & Quality team within Operations. You will conduct technical screenings and due diligence across nature-based and engineered projects, ensuring rigorous evaluation and high credibility.

You will collaborate with Sourcing and Project Development, staying abreast of market changes to uphold quality. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in the voluntary carbon market, strong knowledge of DD processes, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in voluntary carbon market with technical assessment or due diligence
• Experience with nature-based and/or engineered solutions is desirable
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in biological/environmental science, sustainability or related field
• Experience reviewing Project Design Documents and monitoring reports for standards
• Strong understanding of additionality, baselines, permanence, leakage, land and carbon rights
• Familiarity with data sources and analytical tools for project evaluation
• GIS mapping tools experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical screenings and DD assessments for diverse projects
• Evaluate projects against quality criteria including additionality, baselines and permanence
• Assess environmental, social and SDG integrity and co-benefits
• Oversee MRV data quality and documentation
• Support DD pipeline tracking and reporting
• Engage with ratings agencies and external partners
• Monitor updates in voluntary carbon standards and methodologies
