Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is looking for an experienced HV Substation Project Manager to lead the delivery of a two-stage HV substation project in England. The role involves managing subcontractors, programme delivery, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management and significant experience with NEC4 contracts. The position offers excellent career progression and an additional holiday purchase scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and design interfaces.
• Strong focus on Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental compliance.
• Heavy Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a two-stage HV substation project.
• Manage programme, milestones, interfaces, and project deliverables.
• Administer NEC4 contracts including compensation events and change control.
• Oversee cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage subcontractors, construction activities, and commissioning coordination.
• Lead risk mitigation and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with HV safety rules, CDM regulations, and HSE standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
