Job summary

Butternut Box is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer for our dual-site operation in Blyth, Doncaster and warehouse facilities. You will fault-find across production, fulfilment and site services, ensuring equipment uptime and safe, efficient operation while supporting continuous improvement.

You will lead shift operations, coach teams, perform root cause analyses and collaborate cross-functionally to keep us cooking at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong multi-skilled engineering background with a recognised apprenticeship.
• Electrical bias with strong experience in electrical diagnostics.
• HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in an engineering or senior technician role.
• Ability to coach and train, leading others by example.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production to ensure full availability of people, knowledge, skills and equipment.
• Lead shift leadership during day-to-day running of the Kitchen and advise on operations.
• Diagnose and fix plant issues, including site services.
• Drive machinery reliability and respond to breakdowns across the Kitchen.
• Provide final diagnosis for plant not running to SOPs and lead root cause analysis.
• Drive CI plan and support cross functional handovers with the operations team.
