Job summary

Butternut Box is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for a dual-site operation in the UK. The role focuses on maintaining production, fulfilment, and site services equipment with strong fault-finding in a high-volume setting.

Requires an apprenticeship, an HNC in engineering, and proven experience. You will lead shifts, coach others, and drive reliability while collaborating across teams in a fast-growing dog-food business.

Qualifications

• Strong multi-skilled engineering background with a recognised apprenticeship.
• Electrical bias with strong diagnostics experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with shift operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production and fulfilment to ensure full equipment availability.
• Lead shift operations, guiding and coaching the shift leadership team.
• Diagnose and fix plant issues including site services.
• Own and drive reliability of machinery and respond to breakdowns.
• Provide handover and ensure smooth transition between shifts.
• Carry out root cause analysis of efficiency losses and major breakdowns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement plans for your area.
