Job summary

Leisure United in Manchester seeks an inspiring Dual Site General Manager to lead two new community sports hubs in Wythenshawe, mobilising and running both sites while building strong teams and local partnerships for an outstanding visitor experience.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, safety, budgets, and revenue opportunities across two venues, with a focus on inclusive participation and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ management-level experience in leisure, hospitality or service-led environment.
• Proven multi-site management experience with strong operational and financial results.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing large, diverse teams.
• Track record delivering excellent customer experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings.
• Experience of P&L management, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Ability to interpret data and KPIs, identify revenue opportunities and manage competing demands across two sites.
• Flexible to travel between sites and work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Oversee safe, welcoming facilities with high standards of service, compliance and day-to-day operations.
• Manage budgets, P&L, income forecasting and drive commercial performance.
• Shape inclusive programmes across football, multi-sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing.
• Build productive partnerships with community organisations, education, health, sport, funders and public-sector stakeholders.
• Lead health and safety responsibilities, including audits, risk assessments and compliance records.
• Champion access for under-represented groups and ensure hubs serve people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
