Job summary

Sureserve Energy Services Meters in Taunton, Somerset, is hiring a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to replace gas and electricity meters in customers’ homes and provide a first-class after-care demonstration on how to use the new meter.

You will repair and maintain meters after installation, ensure quality service, comply with safety standards, and participate in ongoing training within a supportive, benefits-rich employer.

Qualifications

• MET1, CCN1/CMA1/CMA3 and single-phase electric qualifications.
• MOCOPA (1a and 1c) qualification desirable.
• REGT1 and polyphase electric knowledge (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Minimum 6 months experience fitting dual fuel smart meters.
• 3 phase or single-off multi is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Exchange gas and electricity meters in customers' homes and provide a first-class after-care demonstration on using the new meter.
• Repairing and maintaining meters after initial install to ensure continued accuracy and reliability.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements while performing installations and follow-up support.

Purpose of the Role

To exchange gas and electricity meters in customers' homes. Provide a first class after-care service which includes a full demonstration to the customer on using their new meter. Repairing and maintaining meters after initial install.

Banding

• Banding A - Dual Fuel Engineer - £39,923 per annum
• Banding B - 3 Phase / Medium Pressure - £41,571 per annum

OTE for DF only engineer: £48-53K - uncapped Performance bonus

Weekly meter fit bonus scheme: £60 per month

Lunch expenses: £60 per month
