Job summary

Orion Smart Metering is seeking a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to join our expanding national team. You will install smart meters safely in domestic properties and deliver a professional, customer-focused service.

All work must meet industry safety and compliance standards while representing Orion across a nationwide engineering network. Based in Royal Leampton Spa, the role offers a stable career with strong earning potential and a company van.

Qualifications

• Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma.
• CMA1/CCN1/MET1 certifications.
• MOCOPA certification (or during induction).
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred).
• EUSR card advantageous, not essential.

As we continue to grow our national contracts, we're looking for experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our expanding team. The Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers need to live in any of the following postcodes: CV7 / CV9-13 / B46.

Pay & Package Options

• Salary Package: £45,000 per annum, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided
• Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1: £200 per day, paid via Umbrella PAYE, company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided
• Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2: £275 per day, paid via Umbrella PAYE, engineer provides own van & fuel, tools & uniform provided

Bonus Breakdown

• KPI Bonus: £150 per month if 75% job completion in a calendar month
• Attendance Bonus: £150 per month for full attendance with no sick days, pro-rated for holidays

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch), minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week. Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met.

Call Out

1 week in 4 rota, standby payments Monday to Sunday. Per job rates: £150 per dual install, £80 per single, £50 per transactional job. Saturday work available (paid at day rate).

Requirements

• Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma
• CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1 certification
• MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction)
• Full UK driving licence
• Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred)
• EUSR card (advantageous,
  not essential)
