Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. seeks an experienced Design & Technology Technician for a large North London secondary school in Tottenham. You will join a busy DT department, preparing materials and equipment for lessons and maintaining workshop machinery to support safe, practical DT teaching.

The role is full-time and long-term, based in Tottenham, North London, with daily pay of £120–£150 depending on experience. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Design & Technology department or school workshop.
• Confidence using laser cutters, pillar drills and bandsaws.
• Experience with a range of hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tools, materials and equipment for DT lessons.
• Set up workshops and practical teaching spaces.
• Operate and maintain laser cutters, pillar drills, bandsaws and other workshop machinery.
• Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure machinery and tools are used and stored safely.
• Support teachers during practical DT lessons when required.
• Maintain stock levels and organise materials.
• Assist with ordering equipment and resources.
