Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a practical DT Technician for a busy secondary school in Enfield. You will support the Design & Technology department, prepare materials and resources for practical lessons, and ensure a safe, well-organised workshop.

This role offers immediate start, the chance to develop skills through excellent CPD and training, and a supportive team dedicated to student progress. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organised, and able to work with teachers and support staff

Qualifications

• Experience in a DT, workshop or practical environment.
• Knowledge of tools, materials and workshop equipment.
• Ability to prepare resources and equipment for practical lessons.
• Understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
• Strong communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design & Technology department and ensure lessons run safely and effectively.
