Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD in Sefton are seeking a Teacher of Design Technology and Religious Education to join a secondary school from after the October half-term. This is a full-time temporary role running until Christmas, ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking short-term experience.

You will deliver engaging lessons across both subjects, plan effectively, assess pupil progress and work with colleagues to support all learners while upholding high standards of behaviour and

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology and RE.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across both subjects.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Commitment to supporting pupils' progress and achievement.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service, or willing to apply through Tradewind.

Responsibilities

• Teach Design Technology and RE across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
• Contribute positively to the school's ethos and environment.
