Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Teacher of RE and English to join a Sefton secondary school. The role is full-time and temporary until Christmas, starting after the October half-term break.

The successful candidate will teach RE and English, plan engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and contribute to the school's ethos. QTS or equivalent and an enhanced DBS are required, with weekly pay via Tradewind.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in RE and English.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school.
• An Enhanced DBS via Update Service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher of RE and English to join a secondary school in Sefton, starting after the October half-term break. This is a full-time temporary position running until Christmas, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking for a short-term role.

The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Religious Education and English, supporting pupils to make good progress and develop their knowledge and skills.

The Role

• Teaching RE and English across the secondary age range.
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback.
• Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team.

The Ideal Candidate

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching within a secondary school.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across both subjects.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A commitment to supporting pupils' progress and achievement.
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
