Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution is seeking a DSO Energy Analyst to join the Curtailment Forecasting Team. This role involves producing curtailment assessments, managing datasets and developing data products to support customers connecting to the distribution network.

Based in Bristol, Cardiff, Tipton or Castle Donnington with hybrid working after training; an HNC or equivalent is required. Strong analytical skills and experience with SQL/Python are desirable to support data-driven

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills with data-driven approach.
• Experience with data extraction, processing, analysis and storage; able to handle incomplete or anomalous data.
• Experience of data analysis and manipulation using SQL and Python (Pandas) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce curtailment assessments for customers connected to the distribution network using specialist engineering tools.
• Manage, analyse and maintain curtailment datasets, including time-series data and historical/forecast outage information.
• Coordinate curtailment information across DSO, ANM and Primary Network Design teams and support stakeholders in interpretation of data.
• Develop and enhance curtailment data products published through the DSO Data Portal for customer analysis and transparency.
• Drive continuous improvement in curtailment processes and data management, collaborating with data owners to improve data quality and system integration.
