Job summary

Albert Bartlett is recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our UK-based team. You will unload deliveries, receipt materials, and perform stock checks to prevent discrepancies.

You will operate FLT and other equipment after training, support production throughput and changeovers, and maintain hygiene and traceability of stock in a cold store environment. Qualifications

• FLT and other mechanical handling equipment qualifications.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Basic IT literacy for stock systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and receipt materials to ensure accurate stock.
• Regularly complete stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Store and issue stock to minimise waste and meet production needs.
• Operate mechanical handling equipment to required standards after training.
• Support production throughput and product changeovers.
• Maintain clean, hygienic stores including ice or snow in cold store.
• Ensure stock is traceable with proper documentation for outs/loads.
• Participate in daily performance reviews and address efficiency issues.
• Ensure stock availability and correct quantities when needed by the production team.

Job description

Your main accountabilities will be to:

• Unload deliveries as required and receipt in all materials to ensure they are correctly accounted for.
• Complete stock checks on a regular basis and investigate any discrepancies.
• Ensure stock is correctly stored and issued to minimise any waste.
• Complete outloads as appropriate and support the Coldstore as and when required.
• Efficiently operate mechanical handling equipment to the required standards following training
• Support achievement of the required product throughput to meet production plans
• Assist with providing materials for product changeovers to the required standards and timescales.
• Maintain all stores in a clean and hygienic manner, including any ice or snow in the cold store
• Accurate completion of all documentation required for out loads to ensure product is traceable and quality standards have been maintained.
• Take part if required in Daily reviews at performance boards and ownership of efficiency issues.
• Identification of sub-standard stock is always maintained.
• Ensure that all required stock is available for the production team at the correct quantity at the correct time.
• Ensure Stores hygiene standards are always met and maintained.

Essential Qualifications:

• Mechanical handling equipment qualifications (FLT, ride on barrows, pedestrian pallet trucks)
• Numeracy and literacy skills
• Basic IT Skills

Desirable:

Experience within an FMCG environment
