Job summary

DO&CO is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage a premium airline catering unit. You will guide the team, maintain peak service levels, and ensure packing aligns with flight schedules while upholding strict quality standards.

Ideally you bring a hands-on approach, a passion for fine dining, and a focus on continuous improvement. The role emphasizes compliance with SOPs, safety and a culture of excellence within a luxury brand.

Job Description

• Strategically and effectively managing the team, ensuring that they are being developed, have direction, and are provided with meaningful feedback
• Ensuringasmooth and efficientworkflow that aligns with the daily scheduleand ensuring on time flight packing
• Ensuring the quality and the quantity of all packed goods are according to specification and requirements
• Cleaning and correct storing of all equipment to ensure distribution isaccurateand ina timelymanner- working closely with Dish Room department for even equipment flow
• Managing all work areas,maintaininghousekeeping rules, and promoting best working practices
• Reacting quickly and efficiently to last minute flight,aircraftchanges, specifications, and requirements
• Understanding of functional and departmental goals as well as overall DO & CO business strategy
• Being a role model and leading a team to ensurethe exceptional DO & COquality isdelivered on timewith maximum efficiencyin accordance withDO & COstandards
• Ensuring operationsadhere toall SOP’s andALL relevant Critical Control Points, Health and Safety, Foodsafetyand all legal requirementsat all times
• Defining systems of working to ensure quality of product, problems are resolved withsolutionsand continuous improvement initiatives are instigated
• Building andmaintainingrelationships withAirline stores to manage flow of stock and internal ordering ifrequired
• Providing reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management
• Buildingandmaintainingexcellent working relationships withallsection managers, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service thatelevatesthe DO & COreputationand any highlighted problems have an implemented solution
• Driving successby proactively managing team performance, provide development and succession planning opportunities
• Ensuringthe effective development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures,ensuring they are compliant and consistently applied
• Proactively taking steps to ensure own skills and knowledge continue to improveand aredemonstratedin the operations
• Forward,strategic thinkingleaderalways looking to exceed targets and expectationsof the unitwhilstmaintainingthe collectiveness of the team and culture of DO&CO(Ensure OTIF performance ismaintained)
• Maintaininggood working relationships with all DO&CO family members

• Should be able to manager Equipment department and take decisions accordingly

• Proficient in excel with excellent working knowledgeof reporting
• Financial awareness - good, strong numerical reasoning ability as precise andaccuratereporting isrequiredto Senior Management
• Fast-paced working environment
