Job summary

University of East London is seeking a technically minded Technical Web Manager (Maternity Cover) for Docklands Campus. You will take ownership of daily technical support, performance, and improvements across our website and microsites, working with product managers, developers, content teams, and external partners.

You will resolve complex CMS issues, manage releases, support testing, and ensure smooth production deployments while coordinating with teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience managing CMS environments, preferably Drupal.
• Strong knowledge of web performance and security considerations.
• Experience with UAT and release management.
• Ability to translate technical issues for non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day technical support and site performance.
• Collaborate with product, devs, IT and external partners.
• Lead releases and production deployments with clear documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex CMS issues and integrations.
• Provide second-line support and maintain Confluence wiki.
