Job summary

University of East London is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager (Staff) on a maternity cover basis to lead internal campaigns across the university and engage staff with key priorities.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate campaigns, write for senior leaders, and manage digital channels using Microsoft 365 tools. The role requires strong stakeholder influence and measured impact across university communications.

Qualifications

• Substantial communications experience, including internal comms responsibilities.
• Leading end-to-end campaigns from planning to evaluation.
• Exceptional writing and editing for senior leaders.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and influencing senior colleagues.
• Strong digital comms capability, including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and email/newsletter platforms.
• Evidence of measuring communications effectiveness and using insights to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging internal communications campaigns from brief through to evaluation.
• Produce clear, compelling content across channels, including for senior leaders.
• Advise and influence stakeholders on the most effective communications approach.
• Manage and improve digital channels including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and emails.
