An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Adult) with experience of supporting people who use substances to join our busy Drug and Alcohol Service.

The post holder will independently assess, plan, and implement evidence-based treatment programmes in collaboration with the client group and in close partnership with other agencies, as well as providing harm reduction advice.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their personal commitment to providing a flexible service to meet local needs, which puts clients' strengths first and foremost while fostering an environment where the client can be proactive in working towards their recovery.

The role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to develop themselves in a challenging and rewarding area of practice. You should be enthusiastic, motivated, patient-focused, and enjoy and thrive on challenges, with skills and experience of supporting a team.

We work in a community-based supportive environment with a strong commitment to personal and professional development. This post specifically will offer you the opportunity to learn from colleagues and to develop your own skills to work with people who use substances.

You should hold an Independent and Supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or provide a commitment to achieve the relevant qualification if not already in place.

The applicant would be required to travel efficiently and effectively to undertake the role.

A driving licence is essential, and a pool car may be available; however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

This is a permanent part-time post of 15 hours, working within service requirements.
