Job summary

Bluebird Care Lancaster is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across Lancaster & South Lakeland. You’ll work with a friendly team to deliver high-quality personal care and daily living support, promoting independence and dignity.

The role offers flexible full-time and part-time hours with paid induction, ongoing training, and a rewards programme. DBS checks and references are standard practice for this employer.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal preparation, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable, friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.

Responsibilities

As aCare Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)

• Higher pay rates for those with industry recognised qualifications
