Job summary

ABB Motion UK offers a challenging Technical Support role focusing on the drives portfolio. You will provide technical and application support to partners, customers and the sales team, delivering a high-value customer experience within a hybrid work model.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience in drives/PLC systems, and the ability to collaborate across functions. You will engage in product demonstrations, on-site support and training to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in technical and application support for OEM markets and related customer applications; motion control/servo experience preferable.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across the local business, factory teams and supporting functions.
• Qualifications in electrical engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Knowledge and proven experience in variable speed drive systems.
• Several years of proven background in drives and PLC technical and application support.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to partners, customers and colleagues on the ABB drives portfolio.
• Displays urgency toward customer inquiries and the delivery of technical and applications support.
• Supports in delivery and implementation of technically appropriate solutions for customers.
• Keeps updated on new product features and customer requirements with experts.
• Collaborates with drives factories, OEM hubs and relevant support functions.
• Conducts product demonstrations and presentations to show value of ABB drives portfolio.
• Provides project support, on-site support and delivery of technical training.
• Adheres to ABB integrity and ethics programs and completes required training.
