Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver for our Preston Brook Home Delivery team. This full-time, permanent role runs Tuesday to Saturday with a 06:00–07:00 start and a 48-hour week.

You’ll deliver home improvement goods and keep accurate records to comply with WTD regulations. We offer ongoing CPC training, holiday pay, a pension, healthcare and dental plans, plus extensive training opportunities and a family-friendly apprenticeship pathway.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT)
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph

Responsibilities

• Deliver home improvement products to customer premises on multidrop basis
• Maintain driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure products are checked off the vehicle and delivered with proper documentation
• Keep customers informed of delivery times and communicate any issues courteously

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Home Delivery team in Preston Brook (WA73GE).

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Tuesday -Saturday, with a start time window of 06:00 -07:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Deliver home improvement products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute to Preston Brook (WA7 3GE) for the required shift pattern
