Job summary

The Best Connection are currently looking for reliable and physically fit Driver's Mates to join our team for flexible ad hoc shifts. You will provide weekly availability and be contacted for suitable deliveries with a driver, assisting with loading and unloading heavy items from the vehicle.

This is a physically demanding role; you must be comfortable with heavy lifting, outdoor work, and delivering to customers.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in different environments.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and available for ad hoc shifts.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery or manual handling role is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading heavy goods.
• Travel with the driver to various delivery locations.
• Safely handle and move heavy objects.
• Assist with deliveries to customers.
• Contact customers approximately 10 minutes before arrival when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers on delivery.
• Complete delivery paperwork with customers when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team.

The Role

Driver's Mates to join our team for

This is a flexible role where you will provide us with your availability each week, and we will contact you when suitable shifts become available based on our clients' requirements.

You will work alongside a driver, travelling out to customer deliveries and assisting with the

loading and unloading of heavy items from the vehicle. This is a physically demanding position, so applicants must be comfortable with heavy lifting and working on their feet.

Key Responsibilities
