Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Drivers Mate for a client in Spennymoor. The role involves assisting the driver with home deliveries and unpacking goods, with installation help at customer premises. You will call customers to confirm delivery times and will be required to perform heavy lifting.

Hours include early starts and weekend work; a DBS check is paid for by us. Weekly pay and benefits are available through The Best Connection.

Job description

The Best Connection are working on behalf of our client who are based in Spennymoor and are looking for Drivers Mates.

Duties include:

• Assisting the driver with home deliveries of electrical goods


• Unpacking goods at customer premises


• Assisting the driver to install the product


• Calling the customer to advise of delivery time


• Will involve heavy lifting

Hours of work:

• Start time is 7.30am - finish


• Client works 7 days per week so will involve weekend working

Pay rate:

• Overtime paid at £19.22 per hour after 45 hours

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check (paid for by us).
