Job summary

The NWH Group in Scotland is seeking a Class 2 HGV Skips/Hook Driver to join our waste management operations in Glasgow. You will safely operate skip and hook vehicles on scheduled routes, load and transport skips, and conduct daily vehicle checks.

We offer weekly pay, ongoing training, uniform and PPE, and a supportive team committed to safety, sustainability, and employee development.

Qualifications

• Full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate skip/hook vehicles on scheduled routes.
• Loading, unloading and transporting skips and containers.
• Conduct daily safety and vehicle checks; keep logs updated.
• Follow road safety laws and company policies at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service at collection/delivery points.

Job description

Hours: 40-50 hours per week with overtime options available

Rate of Pay: £14.46 per hour

Overtime Rate of Pay: £21.69 per hour

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Class 2 HGV Skips/ Hook Driver, you will play a key role in our operations by:

Safely operating skip/ hookvehicles on scheduled routes

Loading, unloading, and transporting skips and containers

Conducting daily safety and vehicle checks; keeping vehicle logs updated

Following road safety laws and company policies at all times

Delivering excellent customer service at collection/delivery points

What Are We Looking For?

A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.

No more than 6 points on yourlicence

Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.

A great attitude and commitment to performing the job to the highest standard.

Previous waste/recycling driving experience is preferred, but not essential -we provide comprehensive training.
