Job summary

NWH Group is seeking a Class 2 HGV Trade Waste Driver in Edinburgh to operate on scheduled trade waste routes and ensure safe, compliant collections for commercial clients.

You will perform routine vehicle checks, maintain accurate collection records, and adhere to safety regulations while benefiting from training and career progression within a company focused on sustainability and employee support.

Qualifications

• A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous waste/recycling driving experience is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a trade waste vehicle on scheduled collection routes.
• Collect commercial waste bins safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Keep accurate records of collections and vehicle use.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and road safety regulations.

Hours: 40-50 hours per week with overtime options available

Rate of Pay: £14.99 per hour

Overtime Rate of Pay: £22.48 per hour

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Class 2 HGV Trade Waste Driver, you will play a key role in our operations by:

Driving a trade waste vehicle on scheduled collection routes

Collecting commercial waste bins safely and efficiently

Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly

Keeping accurate records of collections and vehicle use

Following all health & safety procedures and road safety regulations

What Are We Looking For?

A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.

No more than 6 points on yourlicence

Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.

A great attitude and commitment to performing the job to the highest standard.

Previous waste/recycling driving experience is preferred, but not essential -we provide comprehensive training.
