Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Support Worker in Canterbury to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You’ll need to be a driver and can expect a rota that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and some sleep-ins.

The role delivers practical support, daily living skills, and community access, with training provided. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13.03 and a full-time 35-hour week, plus benefits and ongoing career progression.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Driving licence is essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
